^ To answer your inquiry, I've a B.A. in English, and prior to being diagnosed with cancer, was on the road to becoming a Faulknerian scholar.
I lost all focus and started working in a public school, which prompted me to obtain a Master's in Education (fundamentally worthless without meeting certain licensure standards).
Eh, I don't mean to bitch (or derail the intent of the thread). I do find a certain fulfillment in my job, but I'm hardly compensated for it on my current T.A. payscale.
