Which IS good since UC1 was a very nice looking game, I honestly never expected this game to be a gfx king despite the overhyping of some BUT I have no doubt it will be a great game...they made Max Payne one of my THE fave games of all time, this won't be any different imo

When did scores of 8.5 and low 9's become bad? I'm confused here, was the hype around here so high that people really expected this to end up with scores like ME2 or GOW3?

Metacritic score currently at 84.

I think it's had a few harsh reviews early on, so I expect it'll get a lot more 9/10s soon and that the average will subsequently rise.

AAA status (as defined by 90+ Meta) is gone though.

Yeah pretty much from all the hype on the site you would expect the game to bring a new dawn in gaming, healing the sick and curing the lame.

from xbox fans or selonor?

 

do not generalize xbox fans.it was mostly selnor who was hyping the game on this site.

Fails to live up to expectations...at least from all the hype it was receiving here on vgchartz.

I wonder how the reviews will effect its sales. I was fairly confident that i would buy a 360 for this game but not so any more.

Im sure it's still a great game just not the new benchmark of gaming for this generation that people on this site were hyping it up to be.

CONS: Character models look dated; game resets player progression at nearly every turn; leans heavily on combat; characters take on typical 'horror movie character' qualities.

Over a week ago I've decided to buy this game when it gets cheaper, because I'm not a big fan of horror games. However... review scores don't really matter to me, but I thought Alan Wake would score at least 90+...
