Actually, it seemed to me that is was the few 360 fanatics that were throwing the "AAA status" games in the faces of PS3 owners earlier on.  Especially since the 360 came out first so there were more games, and games such as Lair and Heavenly Sword failed to live up to hype.  So now it's the few PS3 owners who are "getting back" at those few 360 owners.

Honestly? Yeah, I thought the game was going to blow ppl away - for 2 reasons: 1)bc of some of the footage-the atmosphere and the intensity of some of the scenes I saw was pretty amazing imo; and 2)bc of the development cycle. There aren't many games taking more than 3-4 years to develop that don't end up being blockbusters. And this game has had the longest development time I've actually ever heard of-almost 6 years.

As for only ps fans thinking it was going to do well, I've heard a lot of ppl hyping this game and just being generally ecstatic for its release. If you want a specific example, talk to Slimebeast. He's a definite 360 fan and was expecting the game to get a 94+ metacritic, and that's actually lower than what I was expecting to be honest. I was expecting 95-96+.

Anyways, I guess I don't know as well as you do how much 360 threads get trolled; all I know is that I try not to do it, or to even sound like I am. Which is why I was surprised by your response. I do love the PS3 for my personal tastes, but I try at the same time to be level headed. I can't stand ppl that act like 4 year olds in this "console war" and force themselves to be blind to anything positive the opposing system has. When 360 fanboys do it, it frustrates me; but when ps3 fanboys do it, it frustrates me, annoys me, AND embarrasses me.

Difference between saying it's amazing and deliberately over-exaggerating peoples excitement levels so you can imply its a failure then having someone else back up your false statement in some poor way to prove the lie true.

I never played Crysis only thing I seen where online photos that dont do just like seeing the game for urself

You are braver than I am.  I always have to pre-order at least a month in advance just to feel comfortable because if I wait I start to worry that the limited editions will be gone.

Wow this thread is a shitstorm. The game will be very much like Heavy Rain. You'll either love it's style or you wont. There is basically 2 different types of reviews for this game. Some say it's the best horror scare game ever. Others complain it's to linear.

At the end of the day. Who cares.

The best Horror games before it were linear to hell. If you play the genre you know what I mean.
