Forums - Microsoft - I'll admit it. I was wrong.

I posted one thread which basically said that I didn't see how the 360 Elite could justify its $299 price tag while unlike PS3 it doesn't play blu-rays.

Well, today, I was checking out the Elites and saw that they did come with $100.00 of the best 360 software. For $299, you also get the Elite and ODST and Forza 3 two of the very best games on the system, so I now think Elite is worth its price point.

In Canada, they come with two more additional games in Prince of Persia/Assassins Creed and Fable 2. Not to mention there has been sales where they add an additional controller for the same price.

I'm not arguing that a 360 elite isn't worth the 300 dollar price tag. Because I bought it at 400?

But, I don't like halo or forza, so it doesn't add value if you don't like the games... albeit you could sell them. But if you like those games its worth it, just like the bundles of other systems.

ya 299$ is a sweet price for an Elite and games

Dam, I was wrong. Futureshop which is the equivalent of Best Buy for Canadians has this deal:
http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/id/B9000479.aspx
The Bundle includes XBOX 360 Elite Console, Halo 3 ODST, Forza 3, Prince of Persia,Fable II, and Mirrors Edge, Stranglehold and Jericho.
That is a total of seven games and I am sure atleast there is one game you would like. Plus you could always sell them.

I bought my Pro for 299.99

I sold my Runescape character for the money. Damn so much time in the toilet!

That Future Shop bundle is ace. Halo 3 ODST, Forza Motorsport 3, Fable II, Mirror's Edge, Prince of Persia, Strangehold and Jericho. Nice. I like that Microsoft tries to compensate for the lack of Blu-Ray and Wi-Fi by giving you a shitload of games. Even if you don't like the games, you can sell them if you want. Try the games. If you don't like them, trade them in or sell them for some free cash. If you absolutely know you won't like the game or you already have a copy of the game, sell the game sealed on ebay or something (sealed copies naturally go for more money).

Btw the FF13 Super Elite bundle is now only $350 at Futureshop. But I don't think this one comes with the faceplate thrown in.

If you want a 250 GB 360, snap that shit up. If you don't like FF13, sell it.

Damn, I'm tempted to buy another 360 to just get the games... and to replace my older 360 of course, sell my 360 to someone for $100 or so :)

Did that when my 1st 360 RROD'd on me, bough an Arcade as it came with 2 games, Lego Star Wars and another one, can't remember the other game, just remember I was gonna pick it up anyhow.. LSW is still in the shrink wrap lol.. then sold my returned 360 to a friend for $100, so I really didn't lose any money :P
