Graphics are not the only thing that push the limits and capacities of a system.  Bungie did things with Halo 2 on the original Xbox that most companies can't match yet. (1)

You know - good innovative games HAVE been made exclusively for non-Sony systems. (2)  I know it's shocking.  But it IS ok to acknowledge it.  It will only hurt for a moment.

2. That's not true (Gran Turismo,Resident Evil,Metal Gear Solid) however I've never been a fan of sony systems so I'm not bashing halo for any of this reasons, but just beause it's true, in terms of graphics halo is not that great.

Not to sound offensive or anything but you make it sound like GoW3 is the best thing ever. Its far from it its not even the best PS3 exclusive, UC2 is much better (both graphics and gamplay). And its not even the best game so far this year imo. Both ME2 and Bayonetta are better games in my book and also metacritic (at least ME2 is), not graphically but gameplay wise or well ME2 is on PC.

Yep that's 'your' opinion true. Imo GOW3 is the best game that came out here and is way way better than Bayonetta (I liked the fighting mechanics of Bayonetta mid you) and it is on par with UC2 but is above it in a graphical sense

Why so many people are crazy about the contract between Activision-Blizzard/Bungie? You don't even know if they are able to make something different and as good as Halo! You don't know if they will get the same brand recognition... It's not Halo anymore.

P.S. the gamecube was a better machine than the xbox, so it's a bit mischievous to compare xbox games to gamecube ones.

Really cant state much on reviews. Those scores are based on whats available on the platform as a whole, not other platforms. While there was some cherry picking when it comes to those screenshots, we cannot go and state that Halo 2 had the best graphics of the generation. You could easily point to later PS2 games that look better than it. God of War 2 in its HD mode, or Gran Turismo 4 with its 1080i visuals come to mind. On the game cube you have Super Mario Sunshine, Paper Mario, and several other games that beat Halo 2 in presentation and/or graphics. Its subjective.

Bungie is more about gameplay than graphics, so they probably won't...

I think people here that don't know Halo games very well, would do well to realise Bungie design the Halo games to have large sandbox type levels with many numerous enemies on screen at once + decent AI which take up more processing power. Anyone who's played a Halo game will know this. The scope of the levels and the buildings within them are huge! Now if Bungie's vision was more like Infinity Ward and COD or Guerrilla and KZ2 with it's tightly scripted events and linear levels than I'm sure they could make prettier games. But Bungie would rather give us a 3 player Warthog to drive around in.

And for those questioning the original Xbox's graphical abilities...Doom and HL2 only came out on the Xbox as it was the only console that could handle it.
