lol GOW Collection was so sucessful now other companies are drooling over being abke to make $$ over re-releases on PS3, hopefully next will be the ICO collection, I always wanted those games but never got around to buying it.

so you expect a remake game to sell 3 mil on a console that currently has sold approx. in the mid 30 millions when the original sold 4mil and the second part sold 3.4mil on a WAYYY more successful console.

let's look at the gow fanbase..remove those who don't have a ps3, remove those who wouldn't buy the same games again. remove those who bought/will buy the trilogy, seing how europe got both around the same time, that'll def. hurt the collection's sales. remove the europeans who cared enough to import the collection (adding to the current sales #'s).

anyway, i don't see how anyone's being negative, theyre being realistic. and in fact, i saw several positive posts that it'll even hit 2 mil which i believe it can do. The most positive thing to get out of this is that all the other devs interested in possibly making collections were looking to gow to see what success it was going to have. it was a huge success, even once it hits 1mil. it means the fans are interested in these collections. what this means to me is expect announcements about ico/shadow of the colossus ( i'm so happy) and ratchet/ jak (can't wait for the day)

lol read the bolded red letters. I didn't realized hope was me saying this game will sell 3MILLION! LMFAO! I'm also sorry I couldn't tell that the PS2 was a "WAYYY more succesful console" cause I thought selling your system for a loss and 1/2 or so pace was the rebound plan. Oh wait did you notice how fast and well GoW3 sold on the Inferior PS3! Thought so, but anyway if your going to go against my hope with all these true facts then I should just give up.

and apparently i need to point out the obvious to you because obviously 3.4mil sales w/ an original game usually translates to 3mil sales w/ the remake. So everyone who posted in this thread saying it won't hit 3mil are being negative and should go throw themselves in a ditch.

Don't forget that GOW collection was bundled , and also there are new players to the genre, don't forget that!
it gets new fans PLUS some old ones, so it's realistic.

Soriku was the best example I put towards an optomistic outcome. I also had 5 other references but VGChartz the website hates my computer and only posted my 1st 2 examples. I actually spent a good 15min looking for the proof. I am done with the subject itself as I already went out of my way to prove it once.

What infuriates me is people just typing nonsense like "Hell No!" or "No Way" when the game is already showing surpisingly good legs and it isn't even the holidays.

Anyone want to make a bet with me with control over my Avatar and sig for 1 week for every 50,000 ltd copies short. At of the end of 2011 from 3 million? If it should end up between 2.95 and 3 million then said poster will receive a choice between Avatar or Sig control only for a week. Automatic 2 weeks for the other user if it hits 3 million and an extra week for every 50k+ after 3mil. I know it's a long time But the bet is worth it
