Forums - Sony - Does LittleBigPlanet have a chance to become an evergreen title?

Sony is pushing the title a lot it seems. It had a Game of the Year Edition, price cut, Greatest Hits Edition, then this year it'll be bundled with Move for the most part. It's an old title that keeps getting updates and re-releases, and seems like has a shot at becoming Sony's evergreen title (similar to the Wii titles). Do you think it can happen?

I might happen, it all depends if they announce LBP 2 at E3.

Evergreen titles don't need price cuts. That's what makes them 'green' as in money green. They sell unchanged without any need for updates or bundling.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

Yes :)

The fact that they have to keep cutting prices and bundle it and such makes it NOT an evergreen title.

The whole point of those is they keep selling with no sales gimmicks.

Well, imagine what Mario Kart could have been with bundling, price cuts, greatest hits line and game of the year edition... yeah... not similar to LBP.

People've already covered what I had to say - it's having nice legs, but this is partially a result of price cuts. And bundling does not qualify it as an evergreen title.

@ grimes - I think evergreen is a tree reference

This.

Evergreen means CoD, Smash Brawl, and other Wii games above 10M. And GT5 hopefully.

Personally, i'm glad there aren't more of these titles.  I mean I know whenever I get around to buying NSMB Wii it's till going to be like 40-50 dollars.

It's like COD: Modern warfare.  It was the steam weekend deal of the week... and it was like 30 dollars.  I mean... 30 dollars is a deal?  What the heck?  The second game is out already... it should be like 10 dollars.
