Forums - Sony - Toy Story 3 PS3 version getting Exclusive content.

Sony its having great ideas lately, why not take advantage of the bluray?
We will see if this could help the PS3 on the kids circle, maybe they can put some LBP and Ratchet adds for the TS3 launch and get more attention from that market.

PS3 kiddie confirmed? Weird that a movie franchise would be what Sony wants exclusives for. Maybe movie footage as it has more space due to bluray?

Some DLC Move mini games too. Sony really hoping to make some ground with the kid market. Will it work? I think on balance the kid market still really wants Wii and the Toy Story game will be on Wii so that's what the kids will be getting. I think it'll sell best on Wii. With the PS3 exclusive content it's only really getting a potential edge over the 360 version. And I don't think it's as much of an edge as the Joker was with Arkham Assylum.

and thats why they are adding Move support for it.

also most kids don't like Wii they like 360.

the picture doesn't show but i saw it, but when is the last time you went to a store and found a kid 7-18 year old wanting a wii? its always the parents buying them for themselves or for the family , the kids want Call of Duty and Halo , to play online with their friends.

i am not generalizing though , but i am talking about the majority.

"Yeah, 'fewer exclusives' is a term, and I don't know what makes an exclusive," says Tretton. "We have a very different approach to exclusives than some of our competitors. We don't buy exclusivity. We don't fund development. We don't, for the lack of a better term, bribe somebody to only do a game on our platform."

I was at GameStop Mon night for SSFIV and an 11 year old was there picking up a Wii. May be anecdotal but many kids still care for (and want) the Wii.

well i did say the majority of kids

i am near gaming stores all the time.

I like this exclusive content approach by Sony than the exclusive (for now) approach by MS. This game will have good sales imo. The movie release should help nicely as well.
