I've been meaning to post this about 5 times now. Each time, I am removed from my computer, causing me to miss out on posting this.

There hasn't been any VGC discussion on this, so lets preface the thread with what has happened:

• About a month ago, a South Korean naval ship - the ROK Cheonan was sunk mysteriously just south of the Northern Limit Line, inside South Korean waters.
• A few days ago, the source of the sinking was suggested to be a torpedo - a Yu-2 model - fired from a North Korean vessel. Over 40 sailors lost their lives in the attack. 
• The North denies all involvement, but did not state such until weeks after the sinking, which is one of the first, if not only times they've stated innocence well after any sort of military skrimish.
• North Korea has re-postured its military for a direct strike on the South Korean capital, Seoul, rather than focusing on a country-wide attack, should a war break out.
• North Korea has also captured a group of hotels on the DMZ which were funded by South Korea as a partnership between the 2 nations. 

Given the details, the situation looks like an intentional attack by the North Koreans, with further military moves that look really, really scary. Most military tacticians/strategists have stated that if war were to break out, the DPRK would probably try to attack Seoul, and capture parts of the city, attempting to force South Korea to negotiate for peace and aid for the bankrupt North.

So, 'what would you do' in this situation? Retaliate for the sinking of the Cheonan? Go to war with the DPRK? Sit and do nothing?

I think this would be a great opportunity for China in many ways, both in asserting their dominance in Asia and trying to win over the West.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

I'd wall off my choke, build a bunker in my mineral line and tell china to go for BCs...then....I'd pray.
