he's a famous country singer. I guess that's why you never heard of him. he's been semi retired for awhile now. lol

It may be because of it. I kind appreciate women singing more than men most of times.

Well, I did a search and listened some musics at youtube. But, i decided to ask you because i would like to know it from american people theirselves.

And no, i'm not Mitch Kapor.

Is country music at all popular outside the US? If not, you're very lucky. Country music is terrible.. I pride myself on having a diverse taste in music and like a little bit of every genre except for country, bluegrass and zydeco.

He was extremely popular in the '90's, then he retired in 2001. He announced he was coming out of retirement last year, but he's only preforming in Vegas, which sucks because I really wanted to see him

From what i read he sold 140 million albums, and 120million in US alone. So, at least he have most of his famous in US. I think Shania Twain sells albums like this too. At least here in Brazil there is near zero US country music, 'we' listen to our own. 

Actually I believe your country music is just listened in your country, because the only country singer that is famous WW that I know is Shania.
