Platform holder expects 'a ton' of gamers to buy title for first time
Microsoft expects "a ton" of Halo fans to pick up Halo 3: ODST for the first time as hype builds for the Halo: Reach Beta launch.
The platform holder told CVG that interest in the 2009 FPS will be "reinvigorated" in the next couple of weeks - as gamers grab the opportunity to enter the Reach multiplayer Beta on May 3rd.
The only way for consumers to enter the Beta - which Bungie claims will hit three million players on day one - is via a key given away with ODST.
"Naturally, the demand for Halo 3: ODST will be reinvigorated as soon as the public Beta kicks off," director of Xbox and Entertainment at Microsoft Stephen McGill told CVG.
"We know a lot of our Halo community have the game and are eagerly awaiting May 3rd, but there are also a ton of Halo gamers who know and love the Halo universe, yet didn't try Halo 3: ODST.
"Now at £24.99 ERP, we're offering a great way for players to experience both ODST and the Halo: Reach Beta."

If they haven't played it, they'll be in for a treat. CVG gave http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=223619">Halo 3: ODST 9.0/10 in our review last year.
We expect the release date for the full version of Halo: Reach will arrive in September - but Microsoft is keeping tight-lipped for now.
