For $180 with free shipping, it is damn tempting as I really like the system, I just don't know what I would do with my old 2-k.

Thats a great deal. If you show the link at your local Bestbuy they'll price match it and deduct an extra %10 off the difference. So thats an extra $7 off coming to $173.

Man for some reason I really want one, but I have a 2000 series, which, really, are better. If I could trade it in and get cash back, though, I would probably do this. Will try and talk myself out of it until they sell out!

I hear ya.  I mean, this is really tempting me as I really, really enjoy the smaller shape.  I just don't think I can do it.  My 2k is really good and I'd have to go through the hassle of selling it and all my peripherals.  I'll ponder some more.  Maybe I'll buy it and sell it for $200-$220 and turn some profit....hrm, decisions decisions.

Yeah, I just like to have the latest and greatest of everything, but its tough for me to justify this.  I could sell the old one to gamestop or something, but that would be a horrible return on investment.  If they'd announce a PSP phone then it would be easier to hold out, too.  Oh well, it looks like its just the daily deal, so if i can hold off for 10 more hours, I'll be ok!

Well, they've had similar deals the past few days.

yesterday it was $199, the 2 days before $189. This is the cheapest I've seen it.

Yeah, I must be strong and resist but I think I will honestly buy it and sell on amazon, see if I can turn some profit. Worst case scenario if I can't sell it, I just keep it.

If I didn't have the Big Boss pack on pre-order, I'd pull the trigger on this.

Only problem is they never came up with a solution to allow PSP users to transfer their UMD games for play on the Go, did they?

Not yet and probably not ever.

I actually had a chance to win a white PSP Go on Wednesday, engraved with Fat Princess stuff on the back at the fat princess tournament that the PS Blog was hosting.  First place team got the PSP Gos, my team got second.  Second effing place...like 10 kills away from a free PSP Go.  So sad.

The whole UMD thing has been one huge bust IMO.

The PSP remains the ONLY consumer device that plays the format and will sooner, rather than later, become another obsolete format. I'd just really like a legit way to get those UMD games on PSP memory for the now though.

UMD movies were definitely a bust as they were too over priced to be played on one device and no video out on the PSP-1k also didn't help (so that the one device that played them could only output on a tiny screen).

UMDs for games weren't as a bust, I mean, DS cartridges are only used for DS cartridges and will become an obsolete format when the 3DS is released. Only issue I have with UMDs for games is the loading times and that damn grinding noise.

But yeah, if there was a legit way to do UMD -> mem stick rip, that would be awesome. Or if they had the PSN at PSP launch and forced all games to be UMD and PSN, then that'd work too.

Oh well. I'll sit and ponder this deal for another hour or two.
