I dont think most of you read all the R2 intel. It clearly states that Daedalus couldnt be harmed by physical weapons. It also said if Hale and Daedalus ever came in physical contact, they would basically merge, which is what Daedalus wanted all along. So when he touched Daedalus at the end, he took all his powers. Or Daedulas took Hale's body. Either way, the fact is he sill cant be harmed by guns. So that shot to the head at the end means jack shit. There is no way possible Hale/Daedalus is dead.

With that said, I havent played Halo for more then 10 minutes so I dont know what MC can do. But Hale is an absolute untouchable wrecking machine at the end of R2. He basically had Force powers, but 100 times deadlier.

the splatter would very much like to disagree with you about this supposed imperviousness to bullets.  its a clear indicator that he was, infact, harmed.

Nah. The splatter just means there was splatter. He got shot in the forehead, he still has human features. So of course there will be blood splatter. Doesnt mean he is hurt. I could be wrong, but the fact that chimera can regenerate body parts suggests that he will just grow a new brain and keep it moving. Possibly.

See some of thess comments bug me, just by reading some I know half of you cheif voters have never played or seen R2 (had a discussion with one earlier in this thread) so why are you here if you cannot give a fair assesment?

And half of the Nathan Hale voters have never played any of the Halos or read any of the books.

Possibly, but most MC  votes just say "he will stomp hale" with no argument behind it, I have seen more than a few Hale votes that has reasoning behind them. The ability to blow sh*t up with gesture is pretty hard to beat, what's so interesting is that we don't even know the full extent of Hales abilities, he isn't a simple soldier being turned into a chimera.

And likewise most Nathan Hale voters don't take into consideration Master Chief's incredible luck (He can pretty much survive anything)

Not too mention he's trained in stealth so Nathan wouldn't even have a clue what hit him (try to regenerate a severed head)

How do you know what most Hale voters take into consideration? Incredible luck? Seriously?

Anyway, I think it would be a very interesting fight, but we will never really know the answer until Resistance 3 is released and Hale's true powers are revealed. As of now, since we have to assume Hale can be harmed by traditional weaponry, its safe to say it would be a close fight. Which is why I didnt vote, I simply cant choose.

You do know that he his senses are not that of a normal persons? He has all chimeran abilities. Hearing, sight, etc.

why not vamp did it in mgs4 using nanites, why couldn't hale use his abilities to do the same. From the looks of him he didn't care, would you not care about getting shot if it will kill you, were as if it wouldn't die you wouldn't care as much.

correct me if I am wrong
stop me if I am bias
I love a good civilised debate (but only if we can learn something).

A clear win here for the master chief, given the level of PS3 fanboyism here at vgc.

If you are going to say something is a trap, at LEAST have Admiral Ackbar do it!

Anyhow, my reason to do it was to get Sackboy to take on Master Chief.  I know Sackboy WOULD get some votes on here.  Either that or the cherry pie would.  YES, Wii owners would say Cherry Pie beats Master Chief.

The cherry pie would win easy.  Master Chief would take off his helmet and take a bite, when hot cherry filling would erupt from the pie and suffocate Master Chief in a horrible, but delicious death.

Looks like the Cherry Pie is ignored and Master Chief is losing to Sackboy.  Go figure.

From what we've been told of the ability of Nathan in game, he is no where near the physical equal of Master Chief. Master chief is a genetically engineered soldier that is far stronger and faster and has superior perception. Even with the chimera ability and what we've seen of the physic power, Nathan would not be able to win unless he got REALLY REALLY lucky in a fire fight and outflanked the Chief enough to get close to him and use it (and even then its debatable). Otherwise the chief would simply splatter his brain across the pavement as he is by far the superior marksman not to mention his super armor and energy shield that's not stationary and 2 dimensional.

Let us not forget that MC not only lived through reentry of earth but then saved the planted after being nearly burned to death
