MrBubbles said: honestly...if we are going to accept those fairly weak telepathic powers, then we should take into account the ending of resistance 2. nathan hale is probably dead. if he isnt dead, hes probably near dead. if he isnt near dead, then hes brain damaged or too mentally unstable and weak to provide any sort of challenge for master chief. |
How are the weak? Those powers destroy anything that is in his sights, there was no limitation of this other than the distance it was effective.
BTW the ending with Hale dying probably isnt what really happened. If you find some of the secret documents lying around you will find out that Capelli is prone to hallucinations. Which is what alot of people are saying happened in the end of the 2nd one otherwise what the point in making a 3rd.

you seriously going to argue that he would hallucinate what had been a private exchange between hale and daedalus. and that insomniac would end a game with someone imagining they killed the main character. or that they would have a third game with hale as the main character where he has those powers.
or that those powers which he got from mrfloaty would actually be truly powerful....eventhough hale, whom was still practically a normal human regardless of his infection, was able to defeat him.
about as likely has Hale really having a bad acid trip, or being stuck in a mental institution in the 50s and the whole thing being his own imaginings.
besides co op, the ending (with hale dying or being seriously injured) was the only interesting part of the game.

I never said he hallucinated the exchange between Hale and Daedalus, I was refering to when he shot Hale. It is completely plausible that they would do that as a cliffhanger ending.
What they do in the thrid game with those powers is not my decision, but I do expect Hale in Resistance 3. I find it funny that you cant accept the powers that Hale has but can for MC. Biased much.

the only magic powers master chief has is super fast T-bag skills, which if you were actually paying attention(which you obviously arent because my comment had clearly been directed at the content of the hales speech at the end of the game - it being a private communication between hale and mrfloaty earlier in the game) you would have noticed that i never mentioned it. i guess i could also include "luck" as a magic power...since they do make mention of it,...even in the games....which would mean, of course, that hale has absolutely no chance of winning...even if he could blow up the entire planet with a mere thought.
i clearly make reference to hales pathetic powers taken from mrfloaty. they are what they are. if essentially human hale could defeat mrfloaty. then logically another human could defeat hale. lets then add a superhuman, such as the chief and we find that his success over hale easily attained. even if we were to assume that within the time frame of getting the powers to the end of the game he has managed to achieve full control over them.
additionally at the end of the game we have hale who is clearly unable, unwilling, or uncaring enough to bother stopping a normal human from shooting him in the head. we cant make the judgement that he would even put up a fight.(assuming that his body is left there, without suffering further damage, and manages to knit his brain back together. )
and yes, you are biased much from the looks of things. but i forgive you.
