To the people thinking that the glasses are expensive, I'm sure they're wireless shutterglasses.

I don't like the rotational polarized lenses, although they are cheap (like 50 cent) they don't fully close out the other eye's image. Place the lenses over eachother, and you'll see that they don't block out the light fully, it's still brown or blue depending on your angle and slightly translucent. Also the polaroids darken the image, as shades are wont to do.

Avatar worked because James Cameron used a really bright pallette to counteract the 30% light loss from the cheap specs.

I really want to demo some wireless shutter glasses. I hope there is 0% brightness loss, and 0% left to right eye interference

Edit: Actually just thinkin of the wireless shutter glasses now, they probably are pretty dark considering each lens is shut half of the time.

yea, they are pretty dark .. I heard there's about 40% light loss, which is why 3DTV sets have to be much brighter than normal sets

I need a 32" 3D TV no one has found me a link yet:P:P

32" is too small. 40" is the smallest you can get. Went to few shops today but no one had them. So far only available online. Im really excited bout this 3D. No other console will be able to offer this.

What was the last 3D film you watched jneul?

avatar, and hopefully if clash of the titans is in 3d that will be my next I wish i could afford the 40" TV's lol, oh well I best start saving up lol

it's the future of handheld

PS VITA = LIFE

The official Vita thread http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=130023&page=1

clash of titans is fake 3D - they shot/produced it in 2D and added the third dimension afterwards to ride the 3D hype

Need glasses = fuckin' gimmick

Glasses free 3D is the way to go. Anyone who's intending to buy a new TV right now should wait and save their money for a year and buy a real 3D TV...

I wholeheartedly agree. Going to the cinema and wear glasses while there for a movie is okay for now. But having to do the same at home and getting a headache more often than not?

No thanks. I'll wait.

All I care is when it's time for me to get a 3DTV, I''m gonna get a Samsung 3DTV coz Samsung TVs better than Bravias.

£60? Who are they kidding, I remember making a pair in workshop when I was ins chool, cost about £2.50 in parts.

Aren't those probably the red and blue kinds though? Not the modern ones?

I've not been to any film in 3D since the new craze has taken off.   There is a new kind of 3D?

edit: Shouldn't you be studying?  Get back to it!

No its the same kind

just this time its got massive industry support steamrollering it into the living room.

I feel a little left out. I mean I only ever watch the news and current affairs progs on tv.

3d may well be something I can live without.

Sony owns Samsung?

ontopic, i don't think i'll ever "Upgrade" to 3D anytime soon with all these prices..... they're a big wallet digger plus i already bought an HD tv not long ago and i am loving it.
