Those profits aren't really all that impressive when you consider all the products and services that were sold.

This is why even though I'm not a big fan of the Wii, there's no denying that they're the only ones who seem to have it together as far as a good business model is concerned, because even when MS and Sony move a lot of goods, they have rather small profits to show for it.

With Crackdown in this upcominh quarter, chaces are good that 1bln for the reporting year is likely...that's six straight quarters now of profit...or is it seven. After Winmo 7 launches...EDD is going to be the darling of M$.

Well for starters, we don't know how much the 360 has lost/earnt over the last 5 years.

But if we're talking E&D division ... it should do it relativly easy.

Again, that's EDD, not just the 360.  And that's since the original Xbox.  The 360 itself did not lose much at all compared to the original Xbox.

I wonder if the 360 has been profitable for MS yet, I imagine it's likely to be profitable or close to it by now

For the E&D yes, it's always been Entertainment and Devices for as long as I can remember though, so again, no idea how much 360 has contribuited to it..
