Forums - Microsoft - Natal hardware pictures. It has a motorized tilting mechanism.

Man I want this thing sooooo bad. I'd buy it just for the new interface and way to move around the dashboard and stuff even if it just had a couple fun little games with it to play with my girlfriend. Hardcore game support will just be the icing on the cake.

I can't wait for it! even if it fails at controlling games (which I think it will be a blast for) it really intrigues me as a new input method or control device for many things

It depends on the price, but I may just get this for the little things like Arcade games and the dashboard. In terms of graphics they will have to take step back but for the audience they are trying to reach it would still be a massive improvement. I just hope they wont put all their resources into Natal and leave the hardcore gamers empy handed. Otherwise Microsoft may find themselves soon without a casual and hardcore fanbase.

So this kinda confirms the use of voice commands to turn on the xbox and go to facebook :)

So the camera can be on without the XBox being on.

I guess that's the main reason it needs it's own power supply. I hope it has a fan in it because the vision camera gets pretty hot when using it.

oh, so thats why it has a motorized tilting so you can balance the camera on a wooden ledge? as shown in the 1st picture.  (joking)

OT: That's a cool mechanism , if you slightly move to the right or slightly to the left or jump or squat, it will literally follow you.

@JaggedSac, thats a good thought and it makes sense since the camera has a separate power cord that keeps the camera in standby while the Xbox is turned off.

I do wonder why those instructions are printed off?

Natal isn't going to be it's final name, so are those like a rough copy of instructions?

R.O.B. had a motorized tilting mechanism for the Nes. Everyone copies Nintendo.

I guess for the testing phase they would print everything with the project name.
Keep things simple internally.

This is a dev kit.  The person actually broke an NDA releasing these pictures.
