Forums - Microsoft - KOTOR on the 360 Question

I feel like playing KOTOR, however I have a question as to how the game preforms on the Xbox 360. Would it be better for me to use my physical copy or would the game run better if I were to purchase it from off of Xbox Live Marketplace? Would it even make a difference? I remember playing KOTOR on my 360 a while back and it was damn near unplayable, has this been fixed?

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

the second kotor when played on the 360 is horrible, it would make random noises and have screen tearing. but the first one should be fine as long as you have a newer 360 that doesn't over heat ( for some reason xbox games just work the heck out of the 360). sadly my old 360 was fried when playing this game on it but it ran perfectly.

If you can... get it for the PC. If not get the XBL version =/

I have a mac Dsister.....Im shit outta luck. I don't mind dropping the 20 bucks for KOTOR I just want to know if its worth it

I don't know how good the game is off of XBL, but it runs horribly off of a disc =/. So if you must get it buy the Live version

Define runs horribly. Outside of some audio problems with the music, mine runs the same as I remember it running on the xbox, which was janky to begin with.

Framerate dips, and the drop in audio is annoying.

I don't remember having as much issues with KOTOR 2. Though there were a few.
KOTOR runs fine.

It's just that simple.
