sounds like a load of fundementalist fearmongering bullshit to me...
A certain kind of tax cut. | |||
| I agree with your point- ... | 4 | 22.22% | |
| That's so wrong- it would make things worse | 10 | 55.56% | |
| It wouldn't change things | 4 | 22.22% | |
| Total: | 18 | ||

Doesn't the plan defeat itself?
Yes there are less people to compete for jobs, but there are also less people requiring services and thus less positions available.
The economic benefits are already balanced in favour of not having children, hence the falling birthrates. Taxation won't do very much to change this, either way. I also don't like the idea of the Government getting involved in areas such as this, this is the USA, not China.
What's more, if your tax was as successful as hoped, the economy will yearn for a greater working force down the line, which will mean that it'd require an influx of immigrants. This can cause a lot of disturbance amongst the current residents, and can lead to the rise of parties and groups that aren't of the, let's just say, best tastes.

Sorry, the European Union has 31 countries, now? Where have I been? Where have these other 6 countries come from?

I hope you don't take that video seriously. The amount of misinformation and fearmongering in it is incredible.

http://europa.eu/about-eu/27-member-countries/index_en.htm
why use a secondary source?

I can't believe I tried to be a smart arse about the EU members, and got the numbers wrong myself. It was a math fail. Somehow, I got 31 - 27 = 6. For shame.

Big deal. Culture has little to do with religion anyway. It's more to do with attitudes and morals, lots non religious based.
In regards to the Islamic/Catholic situation, I think this has been coming for a very long time. More people than ever are leaving the Christian faith. (mostly giving up on religion) As long as there aren't massive regions dominated by specific religions then attitudes will be rational/non extreame like 99% of these religions populations.
Did anyone else think that video seemed like something the BNP would use?
