so apearently they are softening their position from number 1 graphics to top 3 graphics:

They didn't say that at all.

CryEngine 3 is a middleware engine for other devs to use, like Unreal Engine so they're not talking about Crysis 2 exclusively here.

They are just promoting the game, there isn't real prove that its the best graphics, even so, Crysis isn't the best game with any good gameplay or multiplayer. Its just promoting to graphic-whores
