Hey all! I have two questions about the Xbox 360 Spring bundle (Elite w/ Halo 3 ODST and Forza 3) Does anybody know what chipset these Elites are sporting, and are there any fantastic deals going on this particular bundle at any retailer? Thanks!

My opinion on the Xbox this year, if you want to buy one, is to take a wait and see. In all honesty there is something major in the works by Microsoft that means the best deals will be available around the fall/autumn when "Natal" (or whatever they really call the damn thing) comes out.
Well, I don't really need a slim should such a beast exist. I am in need of a 360 before the Reach Beta comes out, and I was planning on purchasing ODST (Reach Beta) and Forza 3 (so my wife could have a driving game thus giving me an excuse to purchase a 360) This bundle has the two games I was planning on purchasing anyway, so it seems like a perfect match.
Pretty much $299 is the cheapest you will find that bundle for, and its got the Jasper chipset in it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B002I0J8ZS/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_2_olp?ie=UTF8&qid=1271262180&sr=8-2-fkmr1&condition=new
Does your wife drive around like a maniac, speed alot, power slide her car all the time, do burnouts, 360 her car in the snow, or race drive at the local race track? If not then you may want to rethink your excuse to buy this bundle or consider buying other a few other games of her choice in addition to it. Too bad your timing is off a bit because Natal would probably fit better for your wife.

She wanted a driving game. And unless she's in a game she's a pretty decent driver [she surprised me with her winter driving skills when she pulled out of a fishtail on an icy road like it was nothing (never having driven under those conditions mind you)] So the Forza 3 excuse is perfect. Anyway, For the rest of you, I have missed a Dell.com deal, a Best Buy deal, and a gamestop deal...Oh well, 299.99 is still a pretty decent deal. Costco.com here I come!
EDIT: Costco wanted to charge me tax...Amazon here I come. Next day shipping for $4.00, I should have it on Friday! Woot!!!

I expect to be playing ODST or Halo 3 with you by friday afternoon!
Yep the beta is going to be nice. Can't wait to see a BETA being the highest played game on Xbox Live. Reach is going to be huge.
I would wait a week or two before buying. I think like 3 or 4 times so far this year, various retailers have had deals where you get a $50 GC with purchase of an XBox360 Elite. Just 2 weeks ago, Gamestop was running that deal (second time this year), and I know Best Buy has run it before at least once.

Two problems, I'm still stealing wireless so you would have to come over here, and I'm going to Ikea in the afternoon.
