Spedfrom said: Sony won't counter with anything specifically. GT5 was post-poned so it can minimize the impact Natal and a slim 360 can possibly have, but that is perfectly reasonable since they have their own slim console launch effect as an example though. |
come again???

It will, quite probably, launch around the same time as Natal.

but...... what da fudge GT5 got to do with natal or a bullshit not gonna happen 360 slim??? you do know they come for 2 completely diferent platforms. I never ever got this ever in my life ever, gt5 vs. forza like they could even remotely have anything to do with each other sales wise....................do every single person own both platforms????? I don't

And what advantage would there be for Sony bringing GT5 out just to compete with Forza and slap it around? None.
It is Sony's biggest franchise and what it can do is put the company and the PS3 on the spotlight at a time when Microsoft will be fully under it. This way they share media space, public recognition and mouth-to-mouth marketing, since Natal is the newest toy in town and GT5 will probably be quite the seller.
Had Sony not post-poned GT5's release, Microsoft would get all the attention for themselves.
It's not a safe bet and we don't know if it will play out exactly this way, but it's the current theory.
