Forums - Gaming - who copied who?????

I've been hearing how playstation really started motion controls at the beginning. The tech demos of the ps2'' eye toy looks like the natal today but the natal has newer tech. But i dont see how nintendo copied the camera based system with the censor one. Dont we remember the power glove, the wii mote is a simplier more effective power glove.

So microsoft copied sony, but did they really????? Microsoft saw that sony gave up of playstation eye so they took sony's garbage and made into treasure (just like the saying).

So Sony copied Nintendo, yes but the tech is better (2006 and 2010; four year is a long time);it still doesn't justify the act.

But who did Nintendo copy?????????

That's wat i wanna find out soo comment

P.S.: not trying to start something so NO FANBOYS

Nintendo copied Armor Project, who made a Motion Controlled Dragon Quest game back in 2003 before Sony or Nintendo ever did.  Which in turn, Armor Project is now Producing all their Dragon Quest games on DS/Wii today, including a sequel to their original Drago nQuest motion controlled game on Wii.

Conspiracy?  Coincidence?  Inspiration?

Probably an isolated insolent.  If you couldn't tell, I was being sarcastic when I said Nintendo copied Armor Project.

The Wii doesn't use the exact same tech as the power glove. I just took some classes about the Wii at the University of Georgia (or more specifically, the physics behind it) and I can say that the Power Glove may have used similar tech, but not the same tech.

P.S. The classes were awesome. Who knew that the sensor bar was actually a transmitter, and that the Wii remote was the real sensor? Physics usually isn't my favorite subject (I love it, but it's pretty tedious at times), but make it about video games and I'm sold!

P.P.S. The title of the thread reminds me of the AD/DC song "Who Made Who." The best part is, the first line of the song is "The video game she play me".

The real question is why does it matter. Everyone has copied something off everyone at some point. Is how all business work. Welcome to the world.

I believe a quote from south park is in order.  "Simpson's did it! Simpson's did it!"

Yep, everyone copies everyone eventually. We can't really tell where ideas came from because some companies create a technology while otheres revolutionize it. It's just a matter of who did it best.

Nintendo copied the concept of lightguns. Nah they didn't copy anyone, but they didn't invent the concept of motion technology so can't reserve the right to say that anyone copied them.

Microsoft copied Sony.

Sony copied no one.

Just how I've seen it. Probably you can trace the eyetoy back to something before it and say Sony copied someone there if you'd like. I don't think it really matters anyway.
