lol ill believe it when i see it, either way the games wont be catering to the hardcore so im definitely passing on natal and going for move , im a really big fan of the wiimote and nunchuk and it works amazing on a old piece of tech like nintendo can only imagine the games well see on ps3.

microsoft has really tried for risky and it wont pay off cause in the end the people that play 360 are hardcore gamers bad move really

Microsoft isn't aiming for the hardcore. They're broadening their audience.

i dont see how its really broadening anything but catering to a very casual party oriented audience, at least with the move and wii you can incorporate both parties so essentially microsoft is jumping into a very small already tapped market.

in the end its going to be about the software , while wii and move will have all similar titles making for an even more broad range of games , natal will be very discrete and focused losing potential games and audience that is already established with proven motion controls.

dont think for a second natal will ever release a fresh hardcore experience without the functionality of physical buttons, but expect sony to cater to both with their tech

so in reality sony is making the best( proven) hardware suited for hardcore and casual , now thats a smart decision, strictly focusing on one market when you have the money and potential to capture all audiences is not a smart decision.

How is Move more "hardcore" than Natal?

I'm assuming it is because of the bright glowing ball on top of the controller.

^ lol think about it for a second , imagine yourself making a hardcore game for natal how you gonna do it ?? lol

Ahhh. . . my favorite anti-Natal argument. "I can't think of anything, so it must be dumb."

I'll tell you how.. imagine this game.  A mystery, heavy rain style game where you are going around looking for clues, interacting with anything however you choose.  You walk up to a table, there are some papers on the table, you have multiple options.  You could pick the papers up and read them, you could throw them away, you could tear them up, you could even just knock the table over. The possibilities truelly are mind blowing if you just think about it and use your imagination.

Button free controlling definitely sounds like it has potential, but at the same time it needs some more work too.

Sorry for double post

they seriously need videos that doesn't involve you playing with red balls...

Blue balls?

No! Nobody wants blue balls!

@flowjo

God forbid they should combine Natal with a standard controller.

i have lots of ideas , so what about a simple shooter like MW2 how are you going to make it work ?

how you gonan throw a flash bang and a grenade

how about going prone and crawling around then jumping back up to sprint to a location

what about moving? forward left right backwards ? jumping? sprinting? changing weapons picking up weapons?

what about the aiming , shooting? red dot sites , sniping ?

air stikes? class customizing ? melee attacks?

and after mapping all this to our body in some magical way how are we going to play it in multiplayer and react with the same amount of reflex im sorry but hardcore games will not be accomplished on natal for the very simple fact that it doesnt have ANY BUTTONS.

@flowjo: I got one question for you. Who the hell told that there must be FPS games on Natal ? Maybe they want to stick around story driven adventure games for this device. You really think that people will jump to Move in FPS games :P ?

It's entirely possible that flowjo's definition of "hardcore" games may not work on Natal. But just because you can't think of any way for them to work does not mean that there is no way. I imaging they'll go somewhere else with it, maybe won't be able to pidgeon-holed into your view of hardcore, but they could make a core game with these controls. RTS comes instantly to mind as being a pretty easy changeover, and try telling a Starcraft or Warhammer player that they are a "casual gamer", see where that gets ya.

Of @uck Starcraft 2 would be insanely easy to play with Natal, you could move with one finger every single unit, I didn't think of it till now :p

wow guess your oblivious to the fact that shooters are the best selling genre on pc/ps3/360, think what you want but i know for a fact that shooters are better with motion controls especially ones with buttons lol.

oh and to answer your question , the only reason im buying move is because of the precision for shooters , rts and rpgs, oh and they will release games like world of goo ( 3rd favorite game this gen) and many more suitable genres for that device.

im not trying to start hate for natal i just realize its not going to have the games people think are being developed for it
