No, this isn't the primary problem I have with GoW3, more like an additional note...

Credit to you for venturing into a genre that isn't really your thing and giving it a fair go. But ultimately if H'n'S isn't what you really groove on then you'll only enjoy it in limited doses. Best to spend your limited gameplaying time on things you know will give you maximum fun / relaxation / stress relief / whatever.
Just like me with FPS, and blue cheese. I like both of those things in small quantities and on my own terms, but I'll never be a big fan of either and I reach my limit of tolerance pretty quickly.
“The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.” - Bertrand Russell

Take it back. It's an amazing and you're clearly not going to appreciate it to the extent it deserves either way. I don't see how you can say 'redundant' combat, you didn't explain why it was redundant, just that you believe it was unimaginative.
Which I don't believe it is, the combat is very unique, and Kratos have a massive move liberary respective to other hack and slash titles. In fact I own every major hack and slash title of this gen and no fighting system comes close to God of Wars in terms of how fluid, and component it is.
Plus, it doesn't matter if you kill innocents. Did you not realize even when Posiden was killed, so was most of the population of the world? Kratos is killing EVERYONE, and with death not being absolute within Greek Mythology (as in those who are virtuous would go to the Elysium fields anyway)
God of War 3 is all about revenge against the gods. Expect more and more brutalities rather than complex puzzles and so on.
There are some good puzzles like Hera's Garden or The Labyrinth, but not to the point where you would have the feeling of pulling your hair out of your scalp.
If the gameplay is redundant, play the game on Titan. On Titan, it forces you to use the good weapons at the right time, dodge and Pary.
The violence...oh boy it will get worse later on. Then you would have to go past a sex mini game..(rather dislike that fact, since previous games had those minigames hidden...)
I say, Finish the game. Some games don't pick up until the end...
My biggest problem with the game was the frame rate drops. Though they were intentional, they seriously aggravated me. GoW2 is king though.
^NEVER! gow3>gow2>gow1
and no, just finish the gamn game, its not like its dreadful for you to play it

Can you give an example as to when these intentional framerate drops occur cause I didn't notice any...
For the love of God of War take it back before you get to Hercules or you'll have a heart attack!
