Forums - Microsoft - Project Natal still has a multi-processor that runs the software!

If microsoft reps say it doesnt have a feature ( a processor), and some random blog says it does. I believe microsoft reps.

Its more likely that this processor has always been present and the processor that was dropped was a more expensive one.  I would imagine this could be a processor just dedicated to sending the data from the various inputs to the 360 in a timely manner rather than doing the processing itself, we'll not know though until we get confirmation at E3 I guess.

I guess its a non issue in terms of we cannot say much more but it is actually some different news.

*Goes back to waiting for E3*

This might also reduce the lag to a neglibile amount...a majority of the processing in the device, with a small piece to the 360's cpu...nice. We will see at E3 what's the deal!

which lag are u talking about?

the lag that some devs mentioned, that one.

MS said the processor is still there which mean the one with the devs have also hase it and the lag was with the processor.

they never said they re-instated it.

When the rumour arose regarding the price it was speculated they dropped the processing chip inside Natal to cut costs, until we hear more at E3 we don't know if they did ever drop it or not.

This is by far the most interesting information we have on Natal!

I somehow believe this, although I'm not saying anything yet...

It's all about software...if it's shovel, I don't care how creative the device is...I think M$ had better have a wii sport and a active sport, if they want mass appeal.

Argh! I suggest all Natal speculation be tabled until E3. Can we wait a month or two before we continue speculation?

Natal could come out, and deliver the cure for cancer to  80% of victims, and the haters will still complain that it doesn't do it for that 20%...Notice the intensity of the posting at N4G, which basically means it's going to end up here!
