How different is MAG from BF2?

I mean like.. BF2 Minus the vehicles lol theres a lot of Teamwork in BF2, well in the games i play because i always play with my friends as we squad up and we all have a Mic to communicate with and give each other roles, or if we need medic or Ammo.

I've been interested in MAG before it was released but i just haven't been sold to it yet, In terms of gameplay and Teamwork does it differ from BF2?

BF2 is probably the second best FPS i've played this generation behind Killzone 2 haha
