oh and I would add a port of total war for the Wii Rome should do

@TheVoxelman on twitter

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

Around the Network

I would definently buy up this IP. I can see it making BILLIONS!!

CURRENTLY PLAYING:  Warframe, Witcher 2

Release all the popular SEGA games on PSN, Live and the Wii network (don't know the name). I gurantee that SEGA will see a re emergence like none have seen before.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

Sega pluto

It has a virtual library of every sega title from master system up all hd.Focus with online make a great controller that is versatile for fighters and shooters.Cloud storage and option to rent games remake my best classics and some new games launch at low price while offering a console that has good power disc based small and no draw or load system just good old fashioned top system.

Easy to develop for simliar to xbox360

Launch with shenmue 3 and a new jetgrind and powerstone

that's a very long list, with many good ideas but ..

why no love for Panzer Dragoon Saga ? (Panzer Dragoon 1-3 probably means 1 + "zwei" + "orta", right?)

Around the Network

Too much effort in the OP for me to even attempt something.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

I really should edit this list to include newer franchises....

1st, a bit of news -

NPD Numbers: March Wasn't Sega's Month
http://thesilentchief.com/2010/04/17/npd-numbers-march-wasnt-segas-month/

I don't really see this as a true considering the sucesses of

Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing on all systems including PS360, with most sales on Wii/Ds as expected
Alien Vs. Predator @ a million plus on two systems + pc sales

and the continued sucesses of

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games
Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection

among many more, making Sega about the #5 publisher with about 2 million total sales for the month of March.

Specifically, regarding Resonance of Fate, Gamespot scored the game an 8.5, the same as Final Fantasy 13, while averages have been lower for Resonance, both games have about the same commendation from users.
Though Final Fantasy, the game said to take the sails outta Resonance has more user interest, the sameyness in apprecition for both games will help Resonance gain word of mouth lush going forward.

As for Yakuza 3, it did fine for itself, i've heard complaints that it looks a little dated, as it's an older release, so that may be why people aren't rushing out to get it, as a showcase for their PS3s.
So it's still early, the game may have legs, and as a PSN downloadable title. Should do well enough, so that we'll see Yakuza 4. After the Yakuza 4 translation and rest o' the world release I'd like Sega to take it's time with Yakuza 5, really taking full advantage of the PS3 and simultaneously releasing it worldwide, leaving a noticeable, but over-time appreciable lull for Japanese gamers anticipating a new release after Yakuza 4 in March this year.

@Games4Fun

yeah, cause, of the people that aren't online, younger people would make a larger percentage than other demographics, and young people are most interested in Sonic games. But this game is being made to cater to the Sonic veterans, who are mostly online. I dunno, it'll probably be a big sucess, but poor quality Sonic games have to stop, something I'm sure all could agree on, even if all don't agree with which games are the bad ones.
so, you're going to join my campaign to get Shigeru to do a either 2D or 3D Sonic game?

@Snesboy
When the time is right, meaning the money and resources are there , demand seems to be for at least a audience of 10 million (not based on Dreamcast 1 sales, but, I dunno, gauging demand...based on guessing!)

@zarx

that's a fair suggestion. Shining Force Feather came out in Feb 09 and got a 8/8/8/8 in Famitsu, may'be there will be a translation.
http://gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=72534
there are 18 games in the series, have you played them all? It's pretty popular in Japan, but no so much in the states, I haven't played one yet, but I plan on it.
a few of the games have trickled onto Virtual Console, so I'd just keep re-releasing the classic games, and build a reputation with newer fans. I remember Shining Force III's japanese only scenarios have people craving english translations. *if there's a journalist reading this, there's an idea, do a list of most wanted non-english games translated and released in english speaking countries.*

@zarx

that's a good suggestion, also, with Move and Natal in mind PS360 versions, would be easier ports.

enough people complain that Sonic has too many friends, and that saturate and dilute the brand. But, regardless of whether Sega snatchs up Happy, I'd look into may'be puting some of the lesser known characters from Sonic on other platforms, like browser games, facebook games, ect., like busy work...to keep them and their fans..Happy.

@Doobie_wop
true, but you there has to be a stream, rather than a huge deposit that gamer don't know what to do with. Similar to how they release Virtual Console games for example, as before, back in the Nes days, Nintendo put a cap on publishers, limiting them to 5 releases a year, so there wasn't a glut of shovelware (like the warzone the retail sect of the Wii is now.)
So, nice and slow with the releasing and in accordance with console manufactuers' limits, and with hope for great justice, the cream of the crop will rise to the top.

Who owns Zero Wing, and why haven't they jumped on the chance to capitalize on that?

@BioDomePoo
Sega Pluto?

Pluto's not even a planet anymore. That'd make Sega look weak as a company.

But, yeah, I've thought this a bunch too; to the best of my knowledge, Sega has a new old console like the one you're talking, cept with way more old than new, and the target is developing countries. If I'm wrong and they don't, they really should, as with the other companies, since they have such massive back catalouges, and costs are right for the older tech, why not?

@Lafiel

thank you.

1-4 sounds better. :)
Actually, I think I forgot either Orta or Zwei...even though i use to own Orta, and i remember that there was a rpg game and that it was lauded by the press in the series.
Orta had a port of part 1 hidden in the game, so release 2-4? :)
I'd just want to get the games ported cause they sell for really high prices on ebay, and with the motion controls of the new systems as a bonus option, it might even be like a new experience for veterans.
Personally, I would wait to release a new game in the series, as not to overshadow it with all the other releases i've got coming down the pike, plus, just to save something for a huge reaction and excitement in the next gen. But I'd like to get this franchise to new gamers or to those that missed the Saturn but heard of the game and overall critical acclaim over the years.

@SaviorX

:)

i would make a video game console and i would make Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft my Bitch lol

and i will make sure of it to... if i invented a new Sega hardware the consumers wont even know Nintendo Sony ore Microsoft exists lol
