FF 8 wasnt lacking story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FF 8 was one of the best, if not my personal favorite FF (7 and 8 are pretty much tied)



                 With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

Gameplay was bad with the whole magic thing, GF's some were really awsome, and the idea was there, but needed a way to just do the damage and not have to sit and watch every time. Draw sucked

But you know what made it so danm awsome? The limit break system. Danm by far the best of the series (7's was kick ass as well). Nothing like pulling a lionheart out of your ass and beating the shit out of someone.

Story is what made FF 8 one of my favorites. so danm deep, sad, and made it a game ill remember for the rest of my life.

Lionhead is a studio in Europe co founded by peter Molyneux and later bought out by Microsoft. No Japanese relations at all I believe. And looking at the Video diaries for Fable 2, It looks like a bunch of nerdy white guys too me.

Hey back on topic

whats everyones class? im a vanguard. Ill most likely have games for all classes but for now gonna beat it like that. Also im sticking with just two people, then 2 different people the next, etc till i use everyone.

The story line is beyond A+. It's easily the best RPG story in years. Honestly, it's better than half of the sci-fi movies out there thus far.

Not perfect, but definately a genre-defining game. Many RPGs from here on out are going to try to live up to the story telling, and conversations that take place in the game, because they are truely "next gen".

Half of the conversations in the game look allmost as good as the new movie 'Beowolf'. You know it's CG, but every conversation looks like a really high-end FMV.

 Then I bet you didnt play 'The Witcher'(which came out last month), it has a much better story than Mass Effect, Imo.

ME will never go to PS3, the next 2 MEs might with EA though.

I'm really interested in DLC in the form of new planets, the doctors were talking about it in Game Informer.

I made an official thred to keep ME discussion in one thread, but now there are 2 ME impressions threads :(

How good is this game? Suffice it to say it's pulled me away from Galaxy which if you had told me before I would have said you were crazy.

I already have two different careers with two different classes goin' and I've already planned out in my head two more careers, gonna play through this at least 4 times...

Also good to see not all big western developers abandoning cutscenes, when they're done right they can be amazing (like here). I mean the part where they make you a specter was done so well, actually felt like a huge moment, unlike most games where story points are so bland and not engaging.
