Online distribution is becoming more and more important, I hope VGChartz finds a way to get this kind of numbers.

Yep it would! And some of them still are being sold in normal shops! Like Resident Evil 5 for example. It would be very nice to see who is selling better, online or offline distribution.

I hope they do in the future, dd is getting bigger.

I'm sure they will find a way in the near future to track downloaded games.

And let's not forget that some games are only released online, Arcade and Indie games.

For example Hydrophobia is coming and I would like to know the sales....

I believe (though am not positive) that they mentioned in the past that they were looking into a way to track them, but as of now, no, they are not tracked.

you can see who are the best sellers by picking that option when you look at the games... but it's to bad we dont' have even one single variable to work with
