I spent a lot of time over there (my wife grew up in the Philippines) and being a gamer in the Philippines is painful :(

Here's hoping you get on the list.

remarkably, if you know where to look, a 120g cost about 15,200 Php or roughly $325 US. New games such as GOW3 cost about 2850 Php or about $60 US.

better than Australia i think

you're shopping in the wrong places mate. i can get a ps3 now for like 14,000 and i recently bought god of war 3 for 1,900.

I could GOW3 for less than 1,900 but used. i can also get a ps3 for lower than 14,000 but if the price is that low, i tend to question the "authenticity" of the product, could be a shoudy deal :P

as for the online CC, i found this a while back and i'm not sure if its still a viable option

Entropay WORKS. If you have a valid credit card, you can use it as a source of your funding for your virtual credit card. You must "associate" it to your psn account as instructed above. But this time ofcourse, you put in the virtual credit card details instead. The address, on the other hand can be any valid US address.

Basics :

1. Use Internet Explorer and Go to Entropay site http://www.entropay.com/ and get an entropay card. Use your credit card's TRUE details in order to register
2. Once you get your new Entropay Virtual card, load it up with the minimum amount at the least
3. Go to your PS3's XMB--Account Management--and associate your Entropay Card in Billing information. Use the details of your Entropay Virtual Card for this one, and when asked for the billing address, use any valid US billing address
4. It should work now

Please take note that when loading your virtual credit card, ensure that the amount is slightly higher than the one you are purchasing.

Example
You want to purchase a 20.99 game. Load your psn entropay virtual cc with 21.99.

This will ofcourse result into a higher cost when purchasing psn games due to the 4.95 percent charge of entropay in using their service. For 20dollars, that's 1 dollar more. Expensive PSN cards should now be a secondary choice

Due to recent developments about consoles being banned, do not worry. As long as you pay your credit card bills due to psn transactions, you should have no worries

I would highly suggest that once successfully associated, dont remove it anymore. You may never have this kind of opportunity again. Please note, that this does not work on R2 PSN.

i don't understand. i don't have a us address.

its basically like funding a virtual credit card using your own credit card. haven't really tried this, but from my understanding, you sign up for an entropay card using your actuall credit card details then you use the entropay virtual card on psn. as for the us address, if you have a us psn account, just use the address you used there. if you dont, do what everyone else here does, use addresses of relatives living i the US. if you dont have any, google a hotel, any hotel adress in the US and use that. billing shouldn't be a problem since psn will be charging entropay and entropay will be charging your reall credit card.
