Forums - Microsoft - Splinter cell convinction. Where's the hype?

The graphics are bad and it's built with a very old version of the Unreal Engine. That's what happened. Sad truth, on the Internets that is.

P.S.: I'm picking the game up. Loved the demo!

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

I'll be picking it up.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

demo is decent , game feels really slow and im not a fan of some of the design choices its a decent game so far what ive played , to many games to get not spending 70 bucks on this no way

I'm definitely hyped for the game and it'll probably be a day one purchase but all I play lately is FF13. When I finish that, I go back to Mass Effect 2. Then, I try to begin Assassins Creed 2. And maybe I'll give Bayonetta a much deserved 4-5th playthrough. And I've been dying to retry some of the choices in Heavy Rain. And I hear God of War 3 is pretty good.

I mean every single word in that first paragraph. And that's not HALF of the games that I'm interested in and ALREADY OWN (except GOW3). There is simply too much goodness released upon us, at once. I've never seen anything like the first quarter of 2010. Splinter Cell Conviction is definitely a big AAA game and its on my radar but goddammit! There's no room to breathe because we are drowning in good games.

The hype is right here!

You would have hated the other iterations.

I'll definitely be getting it. I've been a huge fan of the franchise since the beginning, and even enjoyed Double Agent, unlike most people...

So Sam Fisher is more like Jack Bauer now? can they pull this off? I mean, not that I doubt Ubisoft, but they've been quite "soft" on the action gameplay if you catch my drift. Assassin's Creed and Prince of Persia both have action gameplay for ladies, so I'm not sure what to expect from SCC...Sam Fisher countering every oponent's move? please God, NO.

Yeah Demo was pretty damn good outside of the graphical issues which I'm guessing will be fixed for release.

If you go at Wal-Mart.com you can pre-order it with a $10 gift card, and Dell.com is offering it for $40 flat. Combined with the pre-orders it already has it should have a pretty damn solid opening week thanks to the insane sales Ubisoft is giving it.

It's just that simple.

What hype there was was killed by the constant delays... Its not GT5, people aren't going to wait forever to play the game.

I've waited forever to play the game.

Well thats because you're patient. Me? I've got Civilization IV, so any new game is like a distraction from my Civ playing ways.

My thoughts exactly, especially concerning Civilization (except I'm playing Civ 3, which is the best in the series in my opinion. Been playing it non-stop since it came out. easily the best replay value in any game.). Civ5 looks hot though, so my unshakeable faith in Civ 3 being the best maybe be challanged.

OT: I'm not hyped because my PC is in the shop (using my crappy laptop right now), and I'm not gonna play any multiplatform game on ANYTHING that isn't my PC. I paid over $2500, I might as well use it.
