My point is that the Mac will work and do what you want out of the box, but the PC will provide more CPU and GPU performance for the same price.

If you're thinking about gaming, then the graphics card needs a severe upgrade from the 7300 and the GT 240 will not be enough. The HD 5750 (or if Photoshop needs Nvidia, the GTS 250) would then be my suggestion.

If you like final cut, go for the mac. If you don't care about the editing environment then go for the pc.

Any increase is performance wouldn't be put to good use if you hate the program you're using. Efficiency isn't only a computer performance issue.

Go where the software is, is my advice.
