What is the hardest boss you had to defeat?

mine would have had to be shin akuma or byson those bastards are hard!

shin akuma is hard in capcom vs snk 2.

I've been playing games for a long time. There are too many bosses to list. Ikaruga as a whole game is tough as shit.

It all depends on what you percieve as being the hardest boss.

Personally for me it varies between Omega from FFV, Original Eve from Parasite Eve, Origin from Tales of Phantasia, Azel from Panzer Dragoon Saga and Team Milayou in Dragon Warrior Monsters.

I recall having a tough fight with Parasite Eve 2's last boss. Also, no matter how well you level up and equip for the fight, Ultimecia is sure to keep you busy for as long as 50 minutes before the credits roll, at least that is how I remember it.

The final boss fight in MGS2 was hard for me.

Dark Force in Phantasy Star 2

Nicchae and Ishtaros from Ninja Gaiden Black (Master Ninja)

Elizebet from Ninja Gaiden 2 (Master Ninja)

Hades in God of War III (Chaos Mode)

The big titan boss fight on the 4x4 in RE5 (Professional)

Akuma from SSF2 Turbo

The Gargoyl from Darksiders (first proper boss of the game) is stupidly hard... well more just takes an absurd amount of time.

Aside that the bosses on Ikaruga are real tough, I dunno any of there names though, and Seth on SFIV...

You mean E.V.E? She's actually not tough if you stand only on the bridge connecting the outer rim platforms, since her mayor nuisance, the Teleport attack, is easily dodged when you have lots of room to run.

On Parasite Eve 2, the only boss that I can consider tough is trying to kill Nº 9 on the Helipad without using the auxiliary power cables and without doing a New Game + 

Omega Weapon - Final Fantasy VIII

I remember some really hard flying thing at the end of Zelda 2 for the NES, god that thing was a pain in the ass although being 6 at the time probably didn't help.
