After EA told Dana White that MMA is not a sport (so they would not make a sports game) then changing their mind after UFC 2009 did resonable well = EA does not deserve my business.  Ill definitely be purchasing UFC 2010.

Carwin did not just beat Mir, he complete destroyed him.  Mir is one of my favorites too, but I had to pull for Carwin.  I want to see him destroy Brock with a passion.

Stop spouting BS. Dana is the one saying that EA said such things, while EA probably said something like "MMA isn't popular enough to warrant our millions of investment", which was absolutely true at the time (and MMA still is small today).

Dana White lies so often, and likes to exaggerate things. I don't know why anyone would take his word.

I love Dana White. Love him are hate him,he's brought MMA to the limelight. His organization UFC has made MMA more popular than it's ever been. I did'nt know what it was,until I watched it on spike. He's done alot of good things for the sport.

Dana did much for the growth of MMA, but he's also a "company man". Everything he did was for the UFC (not MMA itself), and he lies a lot for the UFC.

He called Tim Sylvia and Arlovski cans when they left UFC to fight Fedor, even though Sylvia was the #3 HW in UFC and completely brutalized Nogueira in his last UFC fight(until Nog pulled off a submission), and Arlovski was on a 3-win tear in the UFC and was universally considered a top 5 HW, and #2 HW by some and only behind Fedor.

He even called Nog the best HW of all time...

And if you think EA is in anyway less likely to lie than Dana White, you are the one spouting the BS.  Id actually take his word over theres any day of the week.  Besides, they were asked if they said that about MMA (that it was not a sport) and they never denied it.

First, EA's management back then is not the same as now. Peter Moore came, and he and the new management have done wonders to EA with huge approval from gamers (including making the MMA game, which was Moore's direct influence). So you should really stop insulting EA's current management over the decisions of the old management - different people, different decisions.

Second, I seriously doubt that a company would make the idiotic statement that Dana White wants us to believe without business rivalry.

Third, Dana White is a known liar. Do you really take the word of someone that calls Fedor a mediocre fighter?! Calls Tim Sylvia, Arlovski, Overeem, Werdum and Rogers cans?! White even threatened many MMA fighters to not sign with EA for their MMA game (which he only recently stopped doing so).

My bad... I know MMA is the sport, but Dana made it as popular as it is today. And the last game did really well compared to almost every EA game made last year. (besides MADDEN 10 because people are stupid to buy one every year with no change at all.) If UFC has no changes besides tiny tweeks than I'll never buy another UFC game. But foor now, it looks like a good amount of changes, and it feels fresh compared to FIGHT NIGHT.

UFC hands down. It has a great roster of fighters and the gameplay has gotten alot better then UFC 2009 which is pretty good.

Off topic: MMA is more popular now then its ever been because of the UFC bring (showing) MMA to the US audience through The Ultimate Fighter and UFC Fight Nights. Pride at the time just couldn't do it.

MMA 10 looks to have much much better gameplay. If the lets be honest average fighter UFC 2009 is anything to go by EA will outdo it pretty well. Robotic movements and weak connections of hits in UFC seriously looks stale next to MMA 10. Still what do you expect. Fight Night engine is behind MMA 10. Compare the 2 here.
