And time is up. Despite the reminder notices (and someone posting that they appreciated the reminder, but not submitting...), there weren't many more scores to come in. However, with that said, SHMUPGurus, with a last day addition, takes the gold for this round with 7 points! The answers for the curious are:
1. Judging by the number of people who got this right, it wasn't too hard, and that's good; I didn't want it to be. I started with the one of the oldest entries, Final Fantasy 2 (NES). The overworld, to be precise, since FF2 never came over with its original music. (Though you can hear the remixed version in several ports.)
2. I thought by putting in a newer game, namely Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers (Wii), people would have more luck. Sure it would make the system a pain, but I thought more people here had played it...
3. This one disappoints me. Eyes on Me, one of the most iconic songs from Final Fantasy 8 (PS1), had a low guessed rate. And I even started it at the very beginning...
4. Yeah, this one was a tad harder. But it didn't stop many of you from guessing the final dungeon of Final Fantasy Mystic Quest (SNES). Nobody gave me the Japanese title of Final Fantasy USA, which would also have been accepted.
5. Okay, a game as well known as Final Fantasy 6 (SNES) needed a slightly harder song. So what better than a song so weird, even the OST doesn't have a proper name for it? Best known for when talking to Gau's father, it's a strange piece for such a great game.
6. I wasn't sure where this was going to go. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Rings of Fate (DS) was the selection here. But I guess not many people have played it... maybe there's a reason...
7. This one pleased me. I didn't want to use Tactics for the PS1, but it would be a disservice to not use the Tactics line. So in came Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (GBA), and quite a few of you got this one. Good job! ^_^
8. The multiplayer experience of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (GC) was a memorable event. So much so, that I had to place it on the list for a festival theme.
9. I KNOW that I've seen people here talk about playing Final Fantasy 11: Chains of Promethia (PC/PS2/XB/360), but I would have accepted even just FF11 as an answer. Alas, none of its players found this game...
10. I didn't want to do a Chocobo theme at first But when going through the music file for Final Fantasy Adventure (GB), I couldn't resist. I made sure to make this one a little longer, too, to ensure that the uniqueness of it (and the entire loop) could be heard. It's also the only game on the list where not only did I get the FFA guess, but I got both Mystic Quest (EU name) and Seiken Densetsu (JP name); those were also scored as correct guesses.
