I have a SNES controller that had its cord gradually pulled out of the controller over a long period of time until it stopped working. I don't really think it should count though since it wasn't a single act of destruction.

I know a guy, though, who gets frustrated when playing games, and he's a very physical guy. So he's actually destroyed Playstation controllers by gripping them too tight and cracking them apart. (Not the sturdy Nintendo controllers, though!) And he's destroyed controllers by throwing them into walls or by throwing them and yanking the cord out of the controller (not sure which, I just know throwing was involved).

Not the kind of guy I want to play co-op with

Have you ever broken a video game, console, or controller? Perhaps, by purpose, because you were angry? Perhaps, by accident, because you were foolish? I haven't. Have you? Share your stories.

Hmmm... I broke my record in SMG Manta ray race by 10" just now; does that count?

Several PS1/PS2 3rd party controllers, that is all.

No stranger's wing shielded my face.
I stand as witness to the common lot,
survivor of that time, that place.

(NOT MAKING A POT SHOT HERE!!!) We've accidentally broken 1 xbox 360, I've ripped apart an old ps2 because the tray was giving me problems after like 3 years of constant use lol. I will say when it comes to consoles durability and strength though, good ol Ninty wins that one hands down xD, we've had our gamecube fly off our entertainment center SOOOOOO many times due to controller wire pulls and the thing worked rock solid :D

yep it has happened to me too i have dropped my gamecube alot of time cause of the wires and it still has worked perfectly
