Forums - Gaming Discussion - Something truly "special."

Well I'm home for thanksgiving and I decided to grab a little gem out of storage.  Warning, the following is not for the faint of heart!

Yes folks that is an actual working 3DO (and part of my foot).   Discuss.

That is a super awesome foot!

Uh I mean...nice 3DO!

My friend is an idiot. He kept playing Tetris because I told him there was an endboss.

Not as nice, but I found the first Game Boy ever released today. Along with a TON of the games I had.

Hey! Nice PS3! I mean 3D0

Similarities with the PS3
1. It launched at $600
2. It was the "most powerful console" ever
3. It had the at the time brand new CD rom vs the catridges
4. It had no killer games
5. It got killed by the Nintendo, the super Nintendo at the time

Actually the 3DO launched at $700, which nowadays is closer to $900.  It also wasn't nearly as powerful as advertised, and it wasn't killed by the SNES it was killed by the PS, Saturn, and N64.

God nazna stop trying to defend your precious 3DO. If it were so good, why doesn't it have CELL, THE FUTURE OF GAMING?

Wow, you had money to burn. Ever regret it?
