I was first indoctrinated into the Atarian Empire before it crumbled due to numerous barbarian attacks known as terrible games. My main choice was to join the Nintenidos since the Segon Empire wasn't as well known in my lands at the time. After the great flood of the late 80s which temporarily damaged my precious Atari 2600 relic I was awarded with a enormous bounty. I used the bounty to purchase the all mighty Sega Genesis due to the fact that the SNES wasn't released yet. My Atari 2600 eventually dried out and worked again little to the knowledge of the insurance company. One big mistake was when I first hooked up the Genesis. I used the power plug for the NES for the Genesis. It worked but after a few hours of playing the Genesis was freezing up. We then realized my mistake and took the Genesis back to the store. We blamed it on a faulty system and was given a new one with no questions asked at Toys R Us.
I was supposed to get a SNES but never got around to it. My dad said if I scored a touchdown then he would buy me one. This was a little difficult considering I was a tight end in a mostly run offense since we were only in middle school. I got my chance one game with the few passes they threw to me. I scored a 70 or so yard touchdown since I was left unguarded. However, when I was jumping for joy in the end zone informing all my teammates that I won a SNES my greatest fear happened. There was whistles, flags and a massive tragedy. The refs stated we had an offense lineman down field and called a penalty on a player that wasn't even in on the play at the time. So my SNES dreams were dashed.
Eventually, I was introduced to a new Empire called Sonaria. I bought their first system right around the time it first launched. I had a lot of fun with it even with games most people might consider bad (ESPN Extreme). I played the system a lot and after awhile I started noticing problems with my launch era system. It started freezing up so I found out a neat trick that seemed to keep it running. I flipped the system upside and somehow it ran better upside down than upright. Eventually, the freezing became too bad and I called up Sony customer service to my horror. I was informed that I had to pay 75 dollars to get it fixed. This made me very upset because I knew it was a problem with the system not anything I did to it. I eventually switched back to the N64 due to Goldeneye showing my young troubled teenage soul that Nintendo wasn't just for kids. I did this switch 2 times PS - N64 - PS - N64. Finally, I realized I only wanted to belong to the Nintenidos Empire. I never bothered with any other console manufacture again.
