If you look at the pictures I posted above, that is the exact kind of color scheme we get from games like MW, KZ, etc... It's a realistic setting. For gamers, it's relatable because it imitates the way our world looks.

Having gray/brown shows a lot about how the game was designed, and those games started off pretty good, and now they just suck pretty badly.

I didn't cherry pick. I googled "bombed out" and posted the images that were not B&W photos. Even so, most people would call that a brown game, sir. Almost 75% of that picture is brown or gray, and the colors that are present are heavily muted.

I googled "bombed out city" and those were the first non BW images there. So I dunno what you were looking for. Maybe you aren't looking, but there's a park right there, with all the trees still intact, flowers too probably right there on the side, see it?

that's because you searched "bombed out city" and searched "bombed out", silly.
