There has to be some Anime about chess....

I pick the protagonist of that.

I mean there is an anime about spinning top battles... and I still haven't quite figured out what the heck Bakugan is supposed to be.

hahaha wtf I had to scroll through like 19 pages of cartoon to get to the bottom.

My pick would be my character from the sims. I got his logic skills up to 10 by playing chess non-stop for hours on end.

Depends on the "god" in question.  If it's just the generic omniscient/omnipotent entity then sure.  I'm sure there are a few anime that have had those.
