Forums - Sony - God of War collection finally releasing here (NZ) in May for $69

New release PS3 games normally start life at between $99 and $129. GoW III launched at $99. I'm pretty amazed at GoW IIIs launch price actually because I reckon it would have sold just as massively at the more ususal $105-$110 launch price. It seems Sony have started a policy of releasing 1st party exclusives at the cheapest launch prices they can. In fact $99 isn't all that far above the US $60 launch price for games. It's almost a fair price.

So GoW collection for $69. 2 digitally remastered PS2 games with added extras and trophies for $30 less than new release. That's gotta be a good deal! A lot of PS3 games would be instant buys if I saw them for $69 new. But I'm hesitant. I've played GoW already, and I liked it a lot, so if I'm paying $69 iot's only to buy 1 re-mastered PS2 game that I've not paid before, which reduces the value proposition a bit.

So the question for those who played GoW on PS2 and have re-played it now on PS3 in HD glory: Is it a substantially better experience over playing the original PS2 version?
