My favorite is Grandia 2.

1 was interesting, I felt the story started to drag, and I finally lost interest. I finished Grandia 3, but I can honestly say I wish that one wasn't made. Such a disappointment.

What did you dislike about 3? I kind of disliked the uneven difficulty of some monsters in the same area. This is a problem I have with most FF games as well. I guess with Square at the helm somethings were bound to get screwed. Battle system however remained top notch even though it was updated.

It's been a long time, but I do remember never liking the main character. He just was way to much a stereotypical main character chasing after the main heroine. The story wasn't that interesting imo as well. Maybe I've just gotten more picky over the years. I also really liked Grandia 2 a lot, so 3 being not that great was a big disappointment. I was really looking forward to it when it was originally announced.

Grandia 2 was so dark and cruel, compared to Grandia 1...I laughed many times at Grandia 1 scenes...

The first grandia was the best for me. One of the best PS game for me xD

I liked 1 the most. 2 was good too, but not Grandia 1 good.

I came to the Grandia party via PS and only owned a DS so I couldn't play any GBC games I am not sure if either one of those actually has any grandia battle system even. That is why they are not included. I hope that clarifies it.

IMHO  there will be even less people who have played a GBC game if they have not seen or layed the one PS1 and 3 PS2 outings.

well i have only played grandia 3. and even though it was kinda short and linear, it has been one of the best RPGs i have played on the ps2. and in my life.
