Meh, who really cares except fan boys that don't want there console to be in last place. both sony and microsoft currently make money of every console sold so their happy.

I think 2010 will be a repeat of 2008 - in September the 360 will have a price cut (and maybe slim) and start outselling the PS3 again

Also, relying on move to sell consoles is imo going to lead to your dissapointment. I predict Natal will sell more consoles than move will

It will probably outsell the 360 in the end, even if its ten years from now... Dvds simply won't be used much anymore.

Both Microsoft and Sony claim this generation to be the longest yet... Around 10 years.

Microsoft will have a console another console out well before PS4....Atleast I hope so, for their sake.

if Sony can break the cyclical process that has been in place of how every other year they catch up from aggressive price cuts, then next year, (this christmas) the 360 outsells the ps3.. then the next year the ps3 outsells the 360... etc.

Sony just needs to do what they have to to win this holiday imo. That would be two years in a row, and Sony would be within ~2 million after another holiday like the last one.

But 2 years in a row is tough on whether or not Sony can make a profit on the hardware.

But common, the question is not will the PS3 outsell the 360 before the next gen starts... it is asking will it before the PS4, - YES it will.

Sony needs to do the whole sell 20 mil playstations in a year again
