I was here back in '06. All the debate raged around what game would sell the best, or lowest, analyzing fellow VGC-ers predictions, and making analysis.

Now its about how this exclusive has great graphics, or will make that system better than another one.

Huh.  That's a good point actually... a lot less sales predictions and stuff.  Does the prediction league even still exist?

Someone should really start up some "how do you think this will sell" threads.

@topic - It hasn't gone downhill, it's just changed.  One of these days I might do a big thread or post illustrating some of the mentalities I've seen and how a lot of pseudogroups have changed over the last few years.  Or I might not and just stick to snarky one-liners.  You never know.  ^_^

yes it exsists, and it still pulls ~20 people per week. Not a lot at all, but considering the fact that it only has a small tiny window on the front page, not too bad. I've been asking ioi to make it like the old one where the top 4 games get displayed, as that used to draw in tons of people when a big game (like Pokemon) would be on the top of the list.

Over the last few months (since I had my kid) i've been letting the PL slide, and I'm trying to get back on top of it but it is a challenge. Shame on me




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

This is a point that's been made a couple times. I'd just like to say that if your community basically faces a drought (or lack of good discussion) for most of the year, then it's not a good community.

Oh no offense.  It's just back in the day I remember constant talk of "I made a killing on this game in the prediction league" and "I've got it for so and so in the prediction league."

I don't see that anymore... I kinda miss it even though I never was in the PL mostly because i've accpeted the fact I don't know jack shit about predicting.


I got the first week shipment of Wii Fit right on the money.  However that was only because they were limited by the balance board.
