So maybie I missed it but can you use the original PS eye for it... or did they upgrade the hardware?

it uses the pseye.
The ps2 cam was called eyetoy. So, no, you can't use that one. But you can use the pseye, which was sold with eye of judgement, the pet game, and stand alone.

Yeh, I bought the PS eye to use as a webcam for the PS3 and now its goint to pay off!! sweet!

good for you. I am actually kind of interested in getting the eye for eye of judgement. I've been stealing glances at the product for years. Shame I never bought it.

I almost bought one so I could platinum Burnout Paradise but couldn't think of another good use for it. So when PS move comes out I'll be able to add another plat!
