Huh? Are you saying you didn't feel the game was worth it because of the credits? Or am I missing something?

Credits + opening/training prologue. It takes too long before you actually start the game.

You do know that you can just jump into any chapter after that and just play on, right? Who would replay the opening / training prologue since that doesn't add to the way you move through the game decision-wise?

I looked but it wasn't obvious where this feature was. So at the time I made my decision it did not exist at all. Poor UI work from David Cage. Its done, its been sold and reflecting on the used prices I saw other people didn't find it either.

Tease.

I hope they actually make a game next time, instead of an interactive movie. Nonetheless, I give credit where credit is due, and Heavy Rain had me on the edge of my seat. Fantastic work.

uhm, it was even present in the preview and review copy... and those are well ahead of the gold issues... so tbh: BS is what you're talking :p

I didn't see it. I finished the game but I could see no obvious sign of a chapter select. So I sold it, and given the fact that the game has come down 45% from its new price its obvious that other people didn't see it either.

... As if other people sold it because of "there's no chapter select". Seriously ...you must have an incredible thumb to suck these things out of it...

People typically sell games they don't intend to replay. If the sale used price is dropping faster than other titles then it must have been a factor.

don't intend to replay is vastly different to "can't find the replay chapter choice".

Congrats. My only hope is that they find a way to sell games like this for less than $60.

This game's replayability is endless it deserves more than $60.

Not for me.  For me, the gameplay was basic (this isn't an insult) and it's 100% story.  I'm the type of person who never reads a book twice and pretty much never watches a movie after I've seen it once and know exactly how it's going to play out.

For other games, I can replay them again and approach things different, change my character class, etc... but Heavy Rain isn't like that.  I feel like the story I got is the story I got and playing it again won't ever change that.  I know how to totally manipulate the system so even playing to get a different outcome feels hollow and I didn't enjoy doing it when I played it again.

I ended up selling it a week after I beat it.  Congrats to them and I hope they make more games like this because I enjoyed playing it and it's a very interesting way to tell a story.  In the future though, I'll wait until the price drops down to $30 or I'll wait until the sequel or games like it are $30 or i'll sign up for gamefly for $15 and rent it for a week.

As for chapter select, I think the title screen was like: Continue, New Game, Chapter Select, Options, Bonus Content.

How could anybody NOT see it?
