yes please. The tray drive sounds so clunky when it closes.

Slot loading for me. But the machine had better be reliable, ask anyone who had YLOD how difficult it is to get a game out of a broken console.

I'd rather it does it the PS2 Slim way.

That's probably the best way to make it the slimmest (if thats a word lol).  Surprised PS3 didnt have that yet i guess they still want to keep slot load cause its more appealing.  But i wouldnt be surprised if 360 and next PS3 slim uses a top load as its probably alot cheaper and cuts more cost.

I think Having a slot loading DVD drive would be awesome!

It looks cool and all and my slot loading drive on my laptop hasn't given me trouble. But aren't there reliability issues with them compared to the trays?

They're much quieter, that's all that matters to me. It would probably hold your disc more securly unlike the current drives. If you move your xbox while the disc is spinning your going to here a nasty grinding sound.

That's why it's only retards that move it while the disc is spinning.

Well it has a sticker which will peal off after five minutes saying 'do not move your console while a disc is inside'

Yeah don't knock over your console or move it while playing. This is why it's probably best to have the 360 horizontally. And if you have small children, make sure they don't go near daddy's (or mommy's) Xbox (easier said than done apparently. lol)

Do the GameCube style disc loading, so if something happens you can just pop the lid up and not lose a 60$ game.

Yeah that's my main concern with slot loading. No eject button would make it a bitch to get out discs in the event that your xbox fucks up. That's why I get nervous if I put in an embarrassing DVD into my laptop (I bought some movie with an embarrassing label on the DVD... I don't need to say more.... lol. Just imagine if the laptop broke down and Dell Support saw that shit. That would be so embarrassing.)

I would say yes. Aesthetically and in a practical sense as well it makes sense for a drive to be slot loading.

Tease.

Yes, I would love slot loading, but I don't think it is going to happen.

Tray loading are cheaper to manufacture so I assume if they do release a new 360 model it will still have a tray.
