Its been a while since I've played a videogame...let alone a post apocalyptic videogame which has a believabale narrative and realistic characters. But Metro 2033 changes that.
The game has superb atmosphere, great story telling and most importantly...believable characters.
This game doesn't suffer from the Gears of War syndrome...where humans have become superheroes who all do steroids. Nor does it suffer from the Call of Duty syndrome...where characters are disposable as shavers hence you dont give a shit.
In Metro 2033, the people are and act scared cause the threats are real and the human race is in real trouble. In doing this, they make the gamer actually care about the story events that are happening on the screen...
People that are fans of story driven games really need to check it out. More so than FPS fans...because as a FPS game its really not that great of a game.
