Forums - Sony - Press X to Jason

[Source Kotaku]

Jason! Jason! Jason! Jason! Jason! Jason! Jason!

For the most part, Heavy Rain is an entertaining exercise in story-telling. For the most part. The parts where you're yelling at small children, not so much.

Anyone who's played the game, and got as far as the clown scene at the mall, will know how awful the part that happens next is. Really, Quantic Dream, for all the money that was spent on this game, a few more lines of dialogue wouldn't have gone astray here.

If you know what I'm talking about, have a go at this flash game. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, you'd better not. Best case you'll be all "huh?", worst case there's a heavy spoiler at the end.

The only thing the above game is missing is an awkward movement mechanic.

And this video from the comments is almost as good as the game:

So you hate the game? o_o why?

I live for the burn...and the sting of pleasure...
I live for the sword, the steel, and the gun...

Why would you say I hate the game?

Love or hate the game, any scene where you're chasing after Jason is pretty stupid and the game is pretty funny.

...uh

I want to Jason.
Where to I find X?

Proud Sony Rear Admiral

Actually that's one of the best scenes in this amazing game

So, You FAIL

Now whats your point again?

I can't get the last achievement so Jason is going to have to die

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

It was worse in the preview version. If you Jason'ed there (before the clown), he would actually come back, delaying the inevitable even more.

Yeah, that part was horrible. It's amazing how uneven the beginning of the game is, from the really cool moments around the house to the horrible mall scene that makes you mad at the game, to the really subtle flash forward picking your son up from school that somehow reclaims you back into the emotional atmosphere of the game. My girlfriend almost stopped playing she was so mad at the game after the mall scene -- it really is awful.
